25th November 2006 Windsurfing: Avon Beach Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 3 Surf / Sea State: Small waves Air Temperature: 11 Sea Temperature: 11 Weather: Sun, squalls Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived 11ish to meet J&G, MP, SW, D&C, Rich. People packing up, wind passed thru. Drank tea, ate cake. Rich then Gen decided to go out in light wind, Rich got going offshore past windline - offshore from channel from right giving shadow. Rigged up 6.5/125/36fin, got out, planed a bit, but mostly not. Bare feet got cold, came in, put on boots, went out. Squall came thru, v hard work, looked like more so retired while will with arms. Got caught in shorebreak, should have backed out rather than struggled. Wind went, so quit. Poo. Low key day really. Cake nice - date and walnut :) |
